On June 13th, 2012, amid the sandy expanse of the Kubuqi Desert in northern China, I struggled to fall asleep inside my tent. My nose was bleeding, and the taste of iron filled my mouth. The sand, unwashed from my face for two days, covered my flushed cheeks. Lacking experience in outdoor camping, I pitched my tent on a slope with a 15 degree angle. However, despite all the discomfort with outdoor sleeping, I can never forget the beautiful stars shinning in the sky that night and the gentle breeze blowing the sand away from my face, eventually lulling me into sleep.

I am a storyteller and a traveler. Traveling brings me inspiration, especially when the experience is full of sensory details. My approach to design is no different. I pour myself into the details. I want to create visual experiences that people not only see, but can also hear, touch and taste something extra.
